Premier Division took a break over the long weekend, but Sydney footy was far from idle with Representative and catch-up matches being played.
The long weekend, and the week that followed, saw plenty of wet weather. Several matches through the divisions were moved after another round of ground closures; and although all Premier Division matches went ahead as scheduled, many were played on heavy tracks...

After a long pre-season which began back on November 30 2010, the newly re-named "Illawarra Lions" are ready to take on Season 2011 with some exciting new players and an extremely strong pre-season under their belt.

The North Shore Bombers have been successful in all three grades to start season 2011 on a winning note. The Illawarra Lions hit the road to Gore Hill oval for Round 1 against the always strong North Shore. After a long pre-season the Lions were raring to get on the field and see the results of their hard work.
